Women's Ministry We would like to invite you to become a part of the Women's Ministry at GBC Chico as we fellowship and serve together in faith, love and unity. Our mission is to be women who are committed to a deepening relationship with Christ through diligent prayer and the study of the Scriptures. As a result, we pray to be spiritually mature women, confident in our gifts and courageous in our words, so we can reach out in love to impact our church and community for Christ. There are numerous opportunities available to get involved. Men's Ministry
It's not easy being a man in a culture that isn't sure what manliness is. Maybe we've been trying to live life on the wrong terms. Maybe it's time to do it on His terms. That's the goal of our Men's Ministry. We work to equip men with the tools they need to find peace and purpose in their roles as leaders, husbands, fathers and friends. We want to help men learn how to balance work and family life, build stronger marriages, become better fathers, grow spiritually and enjoy Christian fellowship.(See monthly calendar for dates and times)
Library Ministry
Our Library provides resources to advance learning about God, stimulate Christian growth, enrich worship experiences and enable the ministry of members and leaders of our church in their obedience to the Great Commission. We have a wide selection of books available for a variety of ages.
The Upper Room Youth Ministry
Hey, welcome to The Upper Room, the Youth ministries of Grace Brethren Church. We are all about anyone from 7th grade through college. We are located upstairs over the back of the auditorium. Youth Group meets up here on Tuesday nights from 6:30 till 8:30pm. Come by and check us out. We hang out and do different stuff together for fun, then Pastor Bob whips out his guitar and we sing for a while before he presents a short lesson from the Word. Did we mention that there are usually tasty snacks? We’re working on a game room with two linked TV’s and X-boxes and air hockey. Out in the big room we have Foosball and Ping-pong. We just got our video room together with a big screen TV and DVD. We used to have a class on Sunday morning at 9am, but we’re all helping out with either the Children’s Sunday school or the first worship service, so that’s on hold till later. Sunday nights at 6pm we meet at Pastor Bob and Marty’s home for D’Group. It’s a lot more intensive with worship and a serious Bible Study for an hour or so. Then those who can stay hang out and watch a movie. The College/Career Group is a Bible study that meets at local coffee shops on a flexible schedule depending on everybody’s classes and work. So that’s us The Upper Room, we’re on MySpace and Facebook so check us out. See you there!
Children's Ministry
At Grace Brethren Church children are important to us We have created not only a safe and fun environment, but also one where children can learn about God. The kids at Grace learn how to serve the Lord and have a personal relationship with God. We seek to guide the children, letting them learn at the pace God has planned and not our own. We have classes for K through 6th grade. All children are special and we treat them as such
Sunday School is from 9am to 10-30am.
Children’s Church is from 10-45am to 12 noon.
